Your ChatName is usually a reflection of something that you like or something you are familiar with. Sometimes, ChatNames can be outright silly and there is nothing wrong with that
First, you must be registered with Phreik Chat in order to have a ChatName. (if your not registered, you will show up as a guest and will be able to chat)
To Register with Phreik Chat, click this link:
www.phreik.com/profile.php?mode=register&sid=835267d56c62ceb107e5146c0fa17e08
You will then be sent an email from phreik chat for verification purposes. You must click a link inside that email in order to activate your new account. Usually, this email arrives quickly. But, in some cases, it can take up too 24 hours to arrive.
Once registered and signed in for the first time, You will see a navigation center on the left side of the main page. Clicking on "My ChatNick" will take you where you need to go to get yourself a ChatName.
Do not be dissapointed if you find that the name you wanted is allready taken, this can be handled by Customizing your ChatName. To Customize your ChatName, you will need to use some alt codes in the name.
Here is the link to "My ChatNick" :
www.phreik.com/chatnick.php
Once there, you will see your current ChatName, the field where you will type your New ChatName and a link that says: "Usefull Page for Unicode Chars." If you click the link for Unicode characters, you will go to a page that allows you to customize a ChatName to your liking. For instance, if you wanted the name RiverBoy and it was allready taken, you might make it look like this: ŘĮvËŖßøŶ. At this point, when you click Save, you will most likely get that name because it is customized.
Just remember, originallity counts for something If you deliberately copy someone's name, it's considered bad Netiquette.
So, be original and have fun making a name for yourself! If you have questions, just reply to this Forum. (Note: you need to be registered in this Forum to be able to post a reply. Registration here is easy and can be done by clicking "register" at the top of the page )
